Are you feeling under appreciated? Do you feel as though you give, give and give some more yet don't get to replenish? Are you running on empty but don't know how to be any different, even though you may want to be? Do you struggle to let go and receive? Is there a well of creativity deep inside you but you don't know how to tap it?

As women we give some at home and then more at work. Women dominate the human services fields, such as health, education and community services etc. Women are strongly socialised in "other based" esteem which means our sense of worth is sought from outside ourselves, usually from an intimate other, through giving us their time, affirming words and affection.
So what happens if the 'others' in our lives are consumed in their own journeys and aren't able to give us what we need? What happens when our love tanks get low? Or when our love needs aren't being met? Why do we think it's ok to suck it up and go without? The Art of Self Loving creates a culture for women to practise and be supported, validated and encouraged by other women to love, care for and express themselves more fully. The Art of Self Loving program offers women the means to refill their emotional cups and nurture their whole beings. Practising self care in the presence of other like minded women is sacred womens work, and is deeply nourishing, satisfying and sustaining. |
"The Art of Self Loving is truly an "Art'. I still use the techniques now! Being a new mum it's so important to have these skills and Toni gave them to me in a truly exquisite way."

Program Outline
Through reverence, conscious contemplation, discussion and a variety of activities we discover new ways of experiencing and seeing ourselves. Re-set and replenish yourself through this mindful and active practise in The Art of Self Loving.
Conversations on Culture, only part of the group series. What shapes the way you think? Who taught you how to self-care? How was love expressed in your upbringing? What did you learn about yourself from your peer group when growing up? What key messages did you inherit from society about being a woman in the world?
In this session we step out of the crowd of which we are a part, turn around and take a look back at it. We examine how our dominant culture serves or harms us, and how we can liberate ourselves from its chains and limitations. Healthy Self TalkIs your inner bitch out of control? Are you afraid of what might happen if you loosen the grip on yourself? How easy is it for you to be patient, kind and loving to yourself? Do you have permission to grow and develop, or do you think you should already "be there"?
We take a look at and listen to the world we may have unknowingly co-created for ourselves to live in, through our self-talk. This class gives us the tools to continue recreating a world that best matches our evolving authentic selves. Self NurturingWho needs self nurturing, isn't it for babies and children? We're tough minded, hard working 21st century feminists, or are we? How did we end up here, so overworked, time poor, last on our list and unsure of how to properly look after or meet our own needs?
We invite our authentic self to have a seat at the table in our lives so we can begin to trust in, listen and respond to our authentic self's guidance around our self-care needs. Authentic Self ExpressionDo you live in your head? Do you feel a bit disembodied? How comfortable are you with your body? How often do you delight in your senses? How easy is it for you to express yourself non-verbally?
We form connections with others where the language of our authentic selves can be safely explored, celebrated and validated. We relearn how to connect with and freely express the language of our authentic selves as well as discern when conforming with dominant culture is more appropriate. Embodied Self LoveWhat's love got to do with it? What's the difference with knowing you are loved and feeling or embodying it?
Over the weeks we have come to know, trust and love our authentic selves. Now each of us can start to integrate our worldly persona with the authentic self. Finally we are connected to the vision and intent of the authentic self, establishing a true foundation of safety and security within. |
"The Art of Self Loving group was a wonderful and uplifting experience. We felt comfortable to share our feelings, ideas and experiences. It built up my self-confidence to be assertive about things that really matter to me, and assisted me to develop more compassion and understanding in my close personal relationships."
Marguarita 2018. (photography by Marguarita) “Love does not have to be perfect or permanent in order to heal and transform us. We only require temporary and 'good-enough' experiences of love and belonging to begin building an internal locus of control.”

The Drop In Series
Are you looking for a way to top up? Something that lifts your spirits, clears negativity, refreshes your outlook, boosts your energy levels and soothes your heart?
|
The Drop In Series is offered on a monthly basis and is the perfect taster for newcomers and an excellent way for past participants to top up their love tanks!
The Drop In Series offers a practise space where we "do" and "embody" our learnings, whereas the group and workshop series also include theoretical components. Each month in the Drop In Series there is a focus on a different aspect of self-loving, such as healthy self talk, self nurturing, authentic self expression or embodied self love. The activities are not the same as those offered in the group or workshop series. |
